There are several downsides, even so. Lattice towers aren’t the strongest readily available composition in certain cases, have a broad footprint which typically can’t be tailored for urban environments, and steel can be a pretty lousy materials alternative in a few scenarios, especially in coastal spots with salt spray or swampy parts with subs
